"A Community that SWEATS Together, STAYS Together."

We want to provide a safe, encouraging, and positive environment for adults, kids, and athletes of all ages to learn, improve, and reach their health and fitness goals. Most importantly we want to be a place that people leave healthier and happier than when they walked in.

He is usually joined with his son Oscar or daughter Lucy, making for a fit fam! Tell him congrats on being our athlete of the month when you see him next!

Tell us a little about yourself and family- Hobbies, interests, where you grew up, occupation, ect.

Born and raised in Newberg Oregon. Married with two children: Wife Cheryl. Daughter Lucy. Son Oscar. We moved back to Oregon after living 14 years in Michigan, and have been back for 10 years. Anymore, my interests and hobbies are spending time with friends and family. I have been a baker working as an electrician for 20 years.

How did you hear about BCF and what made you want to join?
My son started 4 or 5 years ago, at which time I said it wasn’t anything I’d ever do. Than I had a physical with pathetic results. My body wasn’t allowing me to run any more. In the past I had belonged to gyms and didn’t last. So I ate some crow and joined BCF.

What are your goals? Personal, professional, and athletic?

I don’t see myself as much of an athlete. I’m an old guy who wants to be able to do my job for many years to come.

What is your favorite movement? Non-favorite movement?

I almost like KB swings. I’m going to have go with thrusters for non-favorite.

What is your proudest CF moment?

Always proud at the finish of any workout I’ve completed!

What is 1 thing that people would be surprised to find out about you?

I’d rather be a cowboy. But then, wouldn’t everyone?

What is your biggest motivation in life?

Friends and family.

Biggest impact CrossFit has made in your life?

CF has helped me in my work both mentally and physically: fewer back problems and better attitude.
