Tell us a little about yourself and family- Hobbies, interests, where you grew up, occupation, etc.
I was born in CA, grew up in Banks/Hillsboro. I am a proud mom of 2 boys and soon to be a step-mom to another. I work for Kaiser Permanente in publishing and have for 22 years. I love spending time with family and friends, love to travel, and love the outdoors.
How did you hear about BCF and what made you want to join?
A friend started the day before and she was telling me about it. I thought, why not, lets give it a try! I was very intimidated by CrossFit, but I'm always up for a challenge."
I have continued with this journey for almost a year now because of the awesome environment that all the coaches and members create there!
What are your goals? Personal, professional, and athletic?
My goals for both my personal and professional lives are similar; to do the best I can do and always give it my all! I want to try and be better then I was the day before...that doesn't always happen, but I keep trying.
What is your favorite movement? Non-favorite movement?
I dont really know my favorite movement...I really like the cardio type workouts the best. Anyone who has ever worked out with my knows my least favorite- snatches! But I keep trying it and maybe someday I will like it (I doubt it, but maybe)
What is your proudest CrossFit moment?
I would say my proudest moment was my very first strict pull-up!
What is 1 thing people might be suprised to find out about you?
That I am not 50? (haha that was just for you Alise)
I am getting married on a beach in Hawaii in July!
What is your biggest motivation in life?
My motivation is my family. I want to be a good role model for my kids!
Biggest impact CrossFit has made in your life?
CrossFit has obviously had a huge impact on my fitness abilities but more importantly it has had an impact on my mind and motivation.
